Grandpa Frank & Grandma Pansy

Look what I found! This is Grandpa Frank, Grandma Pansy, Clair and me (Carol). You can click on the image to enlarge it some.

Clair & I must have been about 5 & 6 years old, meaning this photo was taken about 1957.

I'm going to dig some more photos out and post them too!

This looks like the house they lived it out in Lorane, it had the coolest wrap-a-round porch and some octagon shaped windows if I remember correctly.

I remember the grandfather clock that would bong every hour!

This is the Loraine house. The ride there from Drain, seemed to take forever..but it was always exciting to arrive and see Grampa & Gram!!!!

It's funny now..but the only room I remember is the kitchen..thats where Gram would comb my hair-OUCH!

And that porch...it was neat! Behind the house was a quince bush..the only one I've ever seen! The neighbors had a cherry (black) tree which hung over Grampa & Gram's fence so we could reach them.....YUMMY!

I don't recall any memory of the chicken barn turned house..but Mom does, and says Dell & Janice lived in it.

I remember playing in the hay barn with our cousins Lyle Lynn, Everett Lee, & Kenneth (Dee Dee), (parents-Lyle Sr & Hilda Reeve), who once visited us there.
Does anyone else remember them?

Mom says the only nice clock she knows of Grampa & Gram having is a mantle clock..which she still has! Says she loved the sound of it's bong. It doesn't work now..I don't think it has for many years.
